Öğe A New Hybrid Method for Classification of Rice Leaf Diseases: SVM+NCA+Resnet50(Niyazi BULUT, 2024) Bingöl, Harun; Aslan, SerpilRice is extremely important for individuals and countries, both in terms of nutritional value and financial value. It is necessary to protect such an important plant from diseases and increase the yield. However, early detection of diseases on plant leaves can prevent the spread of this disease and is also very important in terms of treating the plant. Artificial intelligence has become very popular in recent years thanks to its success in terms of disease classification. CNN architectures used in image classification perform very successful work. Within the scope of this study, it is recommended that the diseases on rice leaves be classified using artificial intelligence techniques, without mixing them with each other, with very high accuracy values, and without any problems caused by humans. With this proposed model, a support vector machine-based model is proposed that classifies five (5) of the most common rice diseases with a very high accuracy of %98.Öğe Derin Öğrenme Modellerinde Komşuluk Bileşen Analizi Yöntemi Kullanarak Çiçek Görüntülerinin Sınıflandırılması(2022) Bingöl, HarunÇiçekler tıpkı insanlar ve hayvanlar gibi doğanın yeri doldurulamaz canlılarıdır. Deneysel çalışmalarımız sonucunda önermiş olduğumuz modelin doğruluk oranı yüzde 93.49’dur.Öğe EPILEPTIC SEIZURE DETECTION FROM EEG SIGNALS WITH RECURRENT NEURAL NETWORKS BASED CLASSIFICATION MODEL(Niyazi BULUT, 2024) Aslan, Serpil; Bingöl, HarunEpileptic seizures are a neurological disorder that occurs as a result of sudden and uncontrolled electrical activities of the non-contagious brain. This condition may cause the person to lose normal activities temporarily. Epileptic seizures are a severe disease that affects approximately 60 million people in the world, usually manifested by symptoms such as loss of consciousness, muscle twitching, sudden sensory changes, or behavioural changes [1]. Genetics, brain injury, hormonal fluctuations, infections, or metabolic problems are some of the possible causes of epileptic seizures. Although the severity and duration of the seizure varies from person to person, it is usually very short and rarely reaches a point where it endangers human life. However, such seizures need to be recognized as soon as possible in order to improve the quality of life of individuals and reduce the frequency of seizures. Epileptic seizures are a manageable disease with early diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Recognizing epileptic seizures begins with understanding a person's symptoms and triggering factors. These symptoms may include loss of consciousness, muscle twitches, sudden sensory changes, and behavioural changes. The symptoms of seizures, past medical history, and neurological examinations are essential in the diagnosis process. From past to present, many methods have been developed for the early diagnosis and detection of epileptic seizures [2]. One of these is analyzing the brain's neural activities using electroencephalography (EEG), which helps experts make a diagnosis. Although EEG signals are used as a powerful tool in epileptic seizure recognition, distinguishing the signals within them is both costly and requires highly expert experience. Therefore, this study proposed an automatic classification model for pre-processed EEG signals using Dual-Tree Complex Wavelet Transform (DT-CWT) based on deep learning-based Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN) architecture to assist experts. Compared to classical machine learning methods, deep learning-based models require less manual feature engineering because they perform data automatically thanks to deep networks instead of manually selecting and transforming the data features. These advantages make the model more general and flexible. The proposed model aims to classify EEG signals and detect epileptic seizures effectively and quickly in the early stages.Öğe Machine Learning Based Deception Detection System in Online Social Networks(2022) Bingöl, Harun; Alatas, BilalThe rapid dissemination of Internet technologies makes it easier for people to live in terms of access to information. However, in addition to these positive aspects of the internet, negative effects cannot be ignored. The most important of these is to deceive people who have access to information whose reliability is controversial through social media. Deception, in general, aims to direct the thoughts of the people on a particular subject and create a social perception for a specific purpose. The detection of this phenomenon is becoming more and more important due to the enormous increase in the number of people using social networks. Although some researchers have recently proposed techniques for solving the problem of deception detection, there is a need to design and use high-performance systems in terms of different evaluation metrics. In this study, the problem of deception detection in online social networks is modeled as a classification problem and a methodology that detects misleading contents in social networks using text mining and machine learning algorithms is proposed. In this method, since the content is text-based, text mining processes are performed and unstructured data sets are converted to structured data sets. Then supervised machine learning algorithms are adapted and applied to the structured data sets. In this paper, real public data sets are used and Support Vector Machine, k-Nearest Neighbor (k-NN), Naive Bayes, Random Forest, Decision Trees, Gradient Boosted Trees, and Logistic Regression algorithms are compared in terms of many different metrics.Öğe Makine Öğrenmesi Modellerinde Hiperparametre Optimizasyonu için Paralel PSO Yaklaşımı(2025) Bingöl, Harun; Barut, CebrailHiperparametre ayarı, özellikle geleneksel yöntemlerin (Grid Search(GS) ve Random Search(RS)) yetersiz kaldığı yüksek boyutlu ve karmaşık parametre alanlarında, makine öğrenimi modellerinin performansını artırmak için çok önemlidir. Bu sonuçlar, P-PSO'nun, özellikle hesaplama maliyetinden ziyade model performansının en üst düzeye çıkarılmasının önceliklendirildiği durumlarda, hiperparametre ayarlaması için etkili, ölçeklenebilir ve sağlam bir alternatif olduğunu doğrulamaktadır.Öğe NCA-based hybrid convolutional neural network model for classification of cervical cancer on gauss-enhanced pap-smear images(Wiley-Blackwell, 2022) Bingöl, HarunCervical cancer is a very serious disease that deeply affects women's lives, often resulting in death. This type of cancer, which is very common in women, is diagnosed at an early stage and is of vital importance for the success of the treatment. Pap-smear tests are used by physicians as the primary diagnostic tool to diagnose the disease. In this study, a hybrid deep model is proposed to classify pap-smear images to detect cervical cancer. In addition, the Gaussian method was applied to improve the images in the original dataset. Feature maps were taken from both the original dataset and the Gaussian-enhanced dataset in the built hybrid architecture, which used Darknet53 and Mobilenetv2 models as the base. After these obtained feature maps were combined, useless features were extracted and the number of features was reduced by using the Neighborhood Component Analysis (NCA) dimension reduction method. Finally, this optimized feature map was classified into different classifiers. As a result of the experimental studies, it was determined that the proposed hybrid model performed better when compared to other studies in the literature and the accuracy rate was 98.90% in the Support Vector Machines (SVM) classifier.Öğe Önerilen Derin Öğrenme ve Makine Öğrenmesi Tabanlı Hibrit Model ile Çevresel Atıkların Sınıflandırılması(2023) Yıldız, Elif Nur; Bingöl, Harun; YILDIRIM, MuhammedÇevre kirliliği sorunu, son zamanlarda artış gösterip hem insanlığa hem de çevreye tehdit oluşturmaktadır. Deneyler sonucunda önermiş olduğumuz hibrit model %85.94 doğruluk değeri elde etmiştir.Öğe Performance Comparison of Biology based Metaheuristics Optimization Algorithms using Unimodal and Multimodal Benchmark Functions(2023) belli, fatma; Bingöl, HarunOptimization is used in almost every aspect of our lives today and makes our lives easier. Optimization is generally studied as classical and heuristic optimization techniques. Classical optimization methods are not effective in real-world engineering problems. These methods, by their nature, require a mathematical model. Metaheuristic optimization methods have started to be used frequently today in the solution of these problems when a mathematical model cannot be created or a solution cannot be produced in an effective time even if it is created. These methods, by their nature, cannot produce effective results in all engineering problems. Therefore, new metaheuristic optimization methods are constantly being researched. In this study, quality test functions have been used to compare the performances of five algorithms that have been developed in recent years and produce effective results. The results obtained from these functions are shared in this study. It has been observed that the Artificial Hummingbird Optimization Algorithm (AHA) gives better results than other metaheuristic algorithms.
